We’re glad you’ve found our site! We are a group of believers who don’t have it all together, but know ONE WHO DOES, and who alone can deeply transform us into the kind of people we long to be – a people who love authentically, communicate transparently and honestly, and who also allow themselves to be loved by others. We believe and affirm that God’s love PRECEDES OUR LOVE (1 John 4:19). This confession sums up ‘who’ we are, what we believe, and defines our purpose – after all, God IS love (1 John 4:8,16), and LOVE is the summary of our obligations to him; AND THUS, love is the fulfilment of the law (Romans 13:10). What other purpose could be greater and more fulfilling, and more in keeping with our desire for happiness?

The only possible starting point and end point in this endeavor, is to be IN CHRIST; all other attempts fall short. Christ ALONE has fulfilled the law in the strictest sense, i.e., corum deo (before God) and the believer’s union with Christ is so intimate, that we too, because of that union, are considered to have fulfilled the law. He now is our righteousness (1 Corinthians 1:30). We still need a perpetual covering for our mistakes, a transformation for our corrupted nature, an empowerment for our disordered desires, and we need a righteousness that can withstand the gaze of a holy God – NONE of which finds their source from within. They must be gifted; they must come from without (extra nos), even as they work deeply within and transform. In short, we need Divine Favor and Power; we need a God who is down-right giddy over us, who cherishes us, who delights in us – a God who is FOR US (pro nobis) in EVERY SENSE of the word, and we HAVE THAT GOD – IN CHRIST (2 Corinthians 1:20). In summary, Jesus Christ, his person and work, but even in a more basic sense, HIS REIGN is the good news!

Our intent in creating this website, is to create a user-friendly and content-filled place for you to browse and therefore consider more fully this IN CHRIST confession. We hope you will then join us on this journey. What journey you ask? Well, the goal of our humanity, which was nicely summarized by Iranaeus (2nd century bishop) when he said:

He is the:
Lord of all HOPEFULNESS, Lord of all JOY, Lord of all EAGERNESS, Lord of all KINDLINESS, Lord of all GENTLENESS …
His hands swift to welcome, his arms to embrace (Lyrics from an Irish hymn).

This journey of our ALIVENESS is a journey for all. The Scripture says “Whosoever believes” (John 3:16). So surf away and glean the understanding that we have come upon – He is the LORD and GIVER of LIFE. There is NONE like HIM – COME, TASTE, AND SEE!!
