Meet 'Our Team'!
Our Team? Well, that would be everyone here, for all believers are ‘in Christ’; we are his building and we are all being equipped to do God’s work. Ultimately, there are no parts more important than another (1 Cor 12:14-27). We all need each other. We all “do the work of the ministry.” In that sense, then, the entire congregation is ‘our team’.

Nate Johnson, Pastor/Teaching Elder
I came first in 2015 and the family followed in 2016. What attracted me to this church was their commitment to growing in Christ through solid and faithful biblical teaching. The thing that has driven roots down for us is observing their faith in action. They are a deep and caring group. Seeing that and being a part of it makes it easy and a joy to serve. I am persuaded that God is at work among us and shepherding them has been nothing short of awe-inspiring.
My family history preceded my arrival to Torrington. My father’s family immigrated from Sweden and began to settle in the Upper Peninsula in northern Michigan, where they worked the mines. Marriage took my great aunt to Sunrise, Wyoming where the rest followed in 1904. All were employed at the Sunrise iron ore mine. I never thought I’d be back in area, but our Torrington journey has been a tremendous blessing to our family and we are delighted to be here!

Herb Doby, Ruling Elder/Clerk of Session
I was born and raised in Goshen County. My wife, Becky, and I, have been blessed with two daughters and three grandchildren. I graduated from the University of Wyoming and the University of Wyoming School of Law.
My family and I were part of the original start of CRPC in 2013. From the onset we were committed to the Reformed tradition within historic Christianity. We are unwavering in our stance on Scripture, for God has revealed the mystery of redemption in and through human language. This is the foundation of CRPC and I am glad to say we have been resolute in this vital area.

Lane Hageman, Ruling Elder
I was born and raised in Wyoming. Our family has a long history in Wyoming and have been ranching for many decades. I love CRPC because we are a family of believers and while far from perfect, I have found genuine care and concern among them. CRPC is committed to the furtherance of the good news of the forgiveness of sins. Everything we do has the good news of Jesus Christ as our focus. It has been a privilege to serve as an elder and I look forward to what God has in store for us in the coming days.

Susan Johnson, Deacon
I have been truly blessed in this Wyoming adventure when the kids and I followed Nate to Torrington. I have never lived in a small town before and I love all the connections. You meet people you know at the grocery store and all the other places you frequent. I even came upon a family factoid: my distant relative, Captain John Curtis, was related to W.G. Curtis who came from Torrington, CT and founded Torrington, Wyoming!
I have been serving as a deacon and enjoy the group effort of meeting people’s needs. It has been an honor to serve. We’re like an extended family in so many ways. It has been a joy.

Carol Carr, Deacon
As one of the 2013 Charter Members of Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church, which is part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC), I feel I am bound in holy fellowship with this congregation of true believers. Over the past eight years I have served in many ways for the edification of this body of believers and for the benefit of the common good of all believers in this community and beyond the front doors of this church building.
I presently serve as a Deacon at CRPC and share the weekly teaching of a women’s Bible study group. The blessings have been abundant.
I embrace the preaching of the Word of God at CRPC. His presence is felt among us each and every time we come together as a community of believers

Lee Hageman, Deacon
I moved to Goshen County in 1988 after I married my husband Hugh. I grew up in Casper and then attended the University of Wyoming where I received my Bachelor’s in Education Degree. I taught school for 13 years in Casper and then in Huntley and Yoder before becoming a “Stay at Home” mom.
My husband Hugh and I live and ranch west of Ft. Laramie. We raised our 3 children on the family ranch. We now have 4 beautiful grandchildren.
Hugh and I know and understand the importance of family worship, attending church regularly and learning under a pastor who is both scripturally sound and devoted to teach the Word of God accurately and faithfully. We have found a minister that fills that qualification. Pastor Nate is steadfast in shepherding his flock at Christ Reformed Presbyterian Church.
Hugh and I consider ourselves blessed beyond measure to have the church family we have. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to serve the Lord and CRPC as a Deacon for the last several years.escription goes here -
Carolyn Haeffelin, Cong Care Coordinator
I am very happy to be a member of CRPC. I have been blessed to serve in several capacities: youth group, Bible School, teacher of adult women, Sisters in Christ, Clerk of Session, Ruling Elder and now Congregational Care Coordinator.
I am ever comforted and often taken back when I see clearly how God is working in our church. Our history is short, but rich. God has given us so much and continues to sustain us despite earthly reasons for certain failure such as being few in number and with many in the ‘golden years’. Our commitment and our growing in faith and knowledge is ongoing. I was raised in a Christian home and have always attended church and been involved in the ministry of the church, but my personal growth since the inception of CRPC has provided me with a significantly deeper faith and relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.

We (the Johnson twins) were lovingly welcomed into CRPC in 2016. The people here care for everyone and help them grow in their walk with Christ.

Nancy Blevins, Office Manager
I was born and raised in Torrington, attended and baptized in the Presbyterian church. Since joining CRPC at its inception, I have grown more in spiritual understanding based on Pastor Nate’s scripture-based teaching. My congregational family is a source of comfort to me and my family.

Grace Rawlings, Office Assistant
When I had my first daughter in 2016 I started looking for a church to help me grow spiritually, so I could raise my children in the way of God. I had another daughter in 2017, but I still hadn’t found the scripture-centered church that I was looking for. It took me a few years to find CRPC, but when I did, I knew this was the church for me and my family. I’ve always felt like the church and its memebers welcomed me and my children with open arms. I know that my daughters’ spiritual journey is just as important to Pastor Nate as it is to me. I look forward to raising my daughters up in this church. Its members are a great example what it means to be like Christ.
